R.I.A. Federal Credit Union, Mallards Team to Fight Hunger

MOLINE, Ill. - The Quad City Mallards have partnered with R.I.A. Federal Credit Union for the River Bend Foodbank Challenge.
This marks the third year in row R.I.A. has launched the challenge in order to help bring an end to hunger in the Quad Cities. Over the past two years R.I.A. has generated over 10,000 pounds of food donations.
Mallards fans are asked to lend a hand during the month-long challenge by bringing a non-perishable food item to any of the team's February home games:

Donations can be made at the R.I.A. table located on the main concourse behind sections 108 and 109. For each item donated R.I.A. will enter the donor's name in a drawing for an iPad mini.
Tickets for each of the Mallards' February home games are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
R.I.A. Federal Credit Union was first established in 1935 on the Rock Island Arsenal to serve our military members and federal employees working on the island. For over 20 years R.I.A. Federal Credit Union has been open to serve all of the Quad Cities and surrounding areas, including Wilton, Iowa, and Savanna, Illinois, while maintaining a strong presence on the Rock Island Arsenal.
River Bend Foodbank collects wholesome donations of food from the food industry for distribution to more than 300 charitable community organizations that support the hungry. Located in Davenport, River Bend Foodbank has 60,000 square feet of warehouse space which allows the Foodbank to handle donations of grocery product that its member charities are unable to handle on their own. The Foodbank's service area includes the Quad Cities and 22 counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. River Bend Foodbank leads the way as the most cost effective distributor of donated food in the community.
