Opener in Biloxi Postponed

BILOXI, MS - Game one of the series between the Tennessee Smokies and the Biloxi Shuckers in Biloxi, Mississippi was rained out on Wednesday. Tennessee and Biloxi are set to play a doubleheader on Thursday that will begin at 5:35 p.m. CT.

Keegan Thompson (2-1, 4.82 ERA) will start on the mound in game one for the Smokies and Biloxi will counter Thompson with Luis Ortiz (1-4, 4.33 ERA). Thompson is coming off 4.1 innings against Birmingham on July 12, where he allowed two runs on eight hits and three walks.

Duncan Robinson (5-2, 3.43 ERA) is projected to start game two for Tennessee and Kodi Medeiros (6-4, 3.38 ERA) is expected to be the Shuckers starter in the second game of the twin bill.
