Pensacola Barracudas News Release
PENSACOLA, Fla. â Kevin and Andre Dyson of the Tennessee Titans will be halftime guests during Saturday's broadcast of the Pensacola Barracudas versus Tennessee Valley game in Huntsville, Ala.
The duo are brothers of Barracudas' defensive specialist Patrick Dyson.
Kevin Dyson is best known for being on the receiving end of the lateral from Frank Wycheck and taking it 75 yards for a touchdown in the "Music City Miracle" in the playoffs two years ago. He also caught the Steve McNair pass on the final play of Super Bowl XXXIV and was tackled at the 1-yard line in the Titans' 23-16 loss to St. Louis.
Andre Dyson was selected by the Titans in the NFL Draft in April and will compete for a spot in the defensive backfield this season.
The Dyson's are just the fourth pair of brothers since 1970 to be drafted by the same team. The others are Ross and Joey Browner (Cincinnati), Archie and Ray Griffith (Cincinnati), and Dewey and Lee Roy Selmon (Tampa Bay).
Patrick Dyson is leading the Barracudas in tackles this season with 25.5, 20 of them solo stops. He has also broken up seven passes.
Pensacola defeated Tennessee Valley last week in the Civic Center, 51-38. It was the Vipers' first loss of the season. Tennessee Valley is 6-1 on the year, Pensacola 3-4.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., with airtime set for 7:15 p.m. on Newstalk 1370, WCOA and via internet at www.pensacolabarracudas.com.
