KADEEM ALLEN NAMED NBA G LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PORTLAND, Maine - January 29, 2018 - The NBA G League announced today that Maine Red Claws guard Kadeem Allen has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 28. Allen is the first member of the Red Claws to receive this award this season.

Allen played in 2 games for Maine last week, averaging 38.0 points per game, including a 46-point performance in Tuesday's game at Long Island. The individual scoring output was the 4th most in Red Claws history.

To go with his 38.0 points per game, Allen also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists for the week, as well as 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocked shots per game.

Allen followed up his 46-point performance with a near triple-double on Thursday - 30 points (10-19 FG), 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

Allen, who is under a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics, is currently with the NBA parent club and is expected to be in uniform for the Celtics tonight against Denver. A product of Arizona, Allen was a 2nd Round NBA Draft Pick by the Boston Celtics in the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Red Claws return to action tomorrow against Agua Caliente. Maine is on a 4-game west coast road trip before returning to the Portland Expo on Feb. 10,
