
Former Wichita Stealth standout Bryan Henderson looks for first ArenaBowl title

PHOENIX â Former Wichita Stealth lineman BRYAN HENDERSON will be making his second straight ArenaBowl appearance this Sunday, June 27 when his Arizona Rattlers host the San Jose SaberCats in ArenaBowl XVIII. ArenaBowl XVIII will be broadcast live on NBC Sports (KSNW â Locally) at 1 p.m. PT.
Henderson (6-3, 290, Northwest Oklahoma), was member of the arenafootball2's Wichita Stealth in 2002. A first team All-af2 selection, Henderson led the Stealth with 16 tackles including four for a loss, 16 sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, two pass defenses and an interception. Henderson's 16 sacks is the 3rd highest single season total in af2 history.
Henderson recently completed a spectacular sophomore campaign in the AFL. Henderson set a new Rattlers single season record with eight sacks, which ranked fourth in the League. He also added 19.5 tackles, two pass defenses, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in route to being named to the First-Team All-Arena squad. An All-Rookie selection last season, Henderson earned ADT Defensive Player of the Week honors following a Rattlers win over the SaberCats in Week 14 where he recorded a sack and a blocked kick.
Other former af2 players participating in ArenaBowl XVIII include Arizona's OL/DL ANTOINNE SCOTT (Charleston Swampfoxes, 2003 and Memphis Xplorers, 2002), WR/DB JUSTIN TAPLIN (Green Bay Blizzard, 2003), FB/LB FRANK TRENTADUE (Quad City Steamwheelers, 2002) and San Jose's FB/LB MATT KINSINGER (Augusta Stallions, 2000).
