
Flash Add Yale Standout Speck

ELMA, N.Y. - The Western New York Flash announced the signing of Yale grad Meredith Speck today. The Flash add Speck ahead of Saturday's match against the Chicago Red Stars in Bridgeview, Ill., at Toyota Park. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET.
"I'm really excited for the opportunity and to join the Flash," said Speck. "After going through preseason with the team, I think we're going to have a really good season and surprise a lot of people."
Speck, 23, made 56 appearances for the Bulldogs during her time at Yale. The midfielder was a three-time First Team All-Ivy selection - the only one in the school's history.
The club waived forward Catherine Zimmerman ahead of the signing of Speck.
