
Colorado Ice Defeat the Wyoming Cavalry for the Third Time this Season 73-12

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice were as close to perfection as they have been all season in a 73-12 win against the Wyoming Cavalry. The Ice now are undefeated against the Cavalry and continue to be in the race for the top spot of the conference. The defense limited the Cavalry to only two scoring plays on their first and last possessions, the middle of the game was pure Ice.
The Cavalry had a total of 103 yards and were four of 12 on third down. The Runza Player of the Game Jason Jones had one fumble recovery and 4.5 tackles, two for a loss. Joe Thornton continues to be the tackle leader with seven total tackles as well as an interception and a broken up pass. In total the Ice defense had three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Ice quarterback Willie Copeland continues to be a field general as he had 169 yards and four touchdowns. This includes a 44-yard touchdown pass to Jasonus Tillery. He also threw a 34-yard pass to Kyle Kaiser who caught the ball one-handed. Needless to say the Ice were nothing less than entertaining.
The Ice now have a short week as they travel to the Nebraska Danger Thursday at 6:05pm.
