Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice beat the Texas Cavalry 55-34 in what couldn't be described as other than a team win. Seven different players accounted for the Ice's touchdowns and the defense provided the power that the team needed.

The first half started on a rough note when the Texans gained redzone field position on kickoff however Corey Sample quickly fixed the mistake with a fumble recovery at the Revolution's goal line. The Ice continued to feed off of that momentum for the rest of the game. Quarterback Willie Copeland had night with 186 yards and five touchdowns. Kyle Kaiser caught a flawless 32-yard touchdown pass and later had a 25-yard pass as well. James Davis Jr., Harcourt Farquharson, Donald Fusilier, Dennis Kennedy and Jasonus Tillery made up the rest of the Ice's offensive scoring.

The defense continues to be top quality as almost each player had a highlight worth noting. Runza Player of the Game Michael Eby had an exceptional night with two interceptions in the Revolution's endzone, one broken up pass and two forced fumbles. Corey Sample had two interceptions including one unbelievable over the wall catch. Joe Thornton had an interception returned for a touchdown as well as six tackles. Chancey Aghayere and Dequinta Jones provided the pressure with the two sacks of the night.

The Ice's next game will be May 17 at 7:00pm against the Wyoming Cavalry.
