The Canton Charge, powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, were defeated 108-90 by the Raptors 905 at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Canada on Saturday night. The loss eliminates Canton from the postseason after they qualified for the playoffs an NBA Development League best sixth consecutive season.
Kay Felder scored a game-high 22 points in 32 minutes on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Canton had three players score 10 points off the bench, led by Gerald Beverly's 10 points and seven boards, with Cameron Jones and Kevin Olekaibe each netting 10 points and two steals. John Holland added 13 points while Eric Moreland had eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Raptors 905 led wire-to-wire, shooting 52% from the field as a team. Brady Heslip came off the bench to lead the hosts with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting in 28 minutes. The Raptors 905 will face the winner of the Fort Wayne-Maine series in the best-of-three Eastern Conference Finals. The series win marked their first in franchise history after finishing 39-11 in their second season.
