Capitols Emergency Brings Return of QB
April 14, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Lincoln Capitols News Release
Lincoln, NE â The Lincoln Capitols of the National Indoor Football League are happy to announce the return of Garth Glissman for this week's game against the Everett Hawks. Glissman, whose responsibilities outside of football left him unable to commit to the team full time, received a call this week from Head Coach Pat Schaben inquiring on his availability. With the Capitols losing both quarterbacks on the roster to season ending knee injuries during last week's loss to Billings, the team feels very fortunate that the former University of Nebraska quarterback, who did go through camp with the team, can step up in this time of need.
While his future availability is uncertain, Glissman is likely the starting QB for the Capitols tomorrow night when they take on the NIFL's top ranked Everett Hawks at the Pershing Center. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7 PM.
Don't forget that kids 12 and under get in free with a paid adult ticket and then need to drop their ticket stub in the box just inside the front gate to see if their school raises money.
On a side note the Lincoln Capitols Booster Club will be raffling off a brand new "Maytag Skybox Beverage Vendor" with the proceeds from the raffle helping in support of the Capitols Players.
