Bighorns' Victory over the Stampede Ranks Them Number One in The Western Conference

RENO, Nev. ---- With the Bighorns coming back from a 19 point deficit and two Bighorns players logging double-doubles, the Bighorns (20-10) defeated the Idaho Stampede (11-22) 117-105 Saturday night at the Reno Events Center. The Saturday night victory pushes the Bighorns past the Austin Spurs for the number one spot in the Western Conference. Vince Hunter logged his 19 double-double of the season with 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Ricky Ledo logged a double-double as well with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Cliff Hammonds totaled 13 points, four assists and four steals during the Saturday night contest. Hunter led the Bighorns in the first quarter with 11 points and four rebounds while Duje Dukan tallied eight points. In the second quarter, Hammonds paced the Bighorns with 11 points. Ledo scored four points and added three rebounds as Hunter had three points and four assists in the second quarter. Kadeem Jack scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds in the third quarter as Ledo had six points and two rebounds in the third. David Stockton tallied five points in the quarter. During the final quarter the Bighorns caught fire, outscoring the Stampede 32-18. Hunter paced the Bighorns in the quarter, netting 10 points and adding four rebounds. Ledo scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds while Tyndale notched six points and four rebounds. The Bighorns shot 52 percent from the field in the second half compared to the Stampede shooting 39 percent from the field. The Bighorns also outscored the Stampede 62-41 in the second half.
