Richmond Speed News Release
Battling through a crippling hip flexor injury, Speed QB BOB BEES did everything in his power to lead Richmond against Carolina in Week 18.
Bees completed 20-of-35 passes for 272 yards and 6 TDs in a see-saw battle which would end up with the Speed on the short end. All season long, and specifically exemplified in this game, Bees has delivered in the clutch - going above and beyond the call of duty, not missing a single snap due to injury, despite taking numerous hard shots over a grueling 16-game schedule.
It's no surprise that the 3rd year veteran garners his 3rd Built Ford Tough Award for the season - the most of any Speed player in 2002.
