Austin Spurs Push Past Bakersfield, Advance to Second Round

(CEDAR PARK, TEXAS-APR. 12, 2015)- The Austin Spurs edged the Bakersfield Jam 90-88 Sunday afternoon on the SWBC Court inside the Cedar Park Center. Jonathan Simmons paced the team with 28 points and three rebounds. Mac Koshwal led Bakersfield with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Austin's key players were Erik Murphy (26 points, 18 rebounds), Orlando Johnson (15 points, six assists), and Mouhamed Sene ( eight points, 11 rebounds).

Austin took the lead early, taking a 49-41 lead heading into halftime. Bakersfield fought back, tying the score at 59-59 with three minutes left in the third quarter. Austin rallied in the fourth, led by Jonathan Simmons (11 points) clinching the victory.

Bakersfield leaders included Renaldo Major (17 points, six rebounds), Xavier Munford (13 points, seven rebounds) and Casey Prather (11 points, three rebounds).
