Mississippi RiverKings News Release
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - RiverKings players had dinner with the residents of the American Cancer Society Harrah's Hope Lodge on February 12.
The RiverKings served dinner to about 30 Hope Lodge guests from all over the world.
"As a RiverKings Sponsor Mom and a staff partner for the American Cancer Society, I wanted to bring our players to the Harrah's Hope Lodge to see the impact this facility has on our community," said Sharon Oliver. "People who travel into Memphis for their cancer treatments and appointments can stay at Hope Lodge at no cost. The players made all the guests feel right at home and by the end of dinner the guests were chanting "Go Kings Go!" The players enjoyed visiting with Hope Lodge guests and learning about their personal cancer journeys. It was a meaningful experience they will not soon forget."
The RiverKings are back home Tuesday, Feb. 17 against the Huntsville for Mardi Gras Night. Draft beer and hot dogs will be $3 each and fans wearing the traditional Mardi Gras colors of gold, green and purple will receive $2 off walkup prices at the Box Office. Mardi Gras beads will be given away during the game. Single-game tickets can be purchased at riverkings.com/ticketmaster and groups of 15 or more get a discount, with group tickets starting at $8 per ticket, by calling the front office at 662-342-1755.
