INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (February 5, 2015) - The Major Arena Soccer League Central Division Champions and still undefeated Missouri Comets (16-0) will visit the St. Louis Ambush (5-11) at the Family Arena on Friday night.

Both teams will meet on the field for the third time this season. On January 3, the Comets earned an 8-5 victory in St. Louis. Thirteen days later, the Ambush visited the Independence Events Center and were unable to upset Missouri falling 7-5.

The match will feature the top two league leaders in Leo Gibson and Gordy Gurson.

Tallying one goal and recording one assist last week against Chicago, Gibson stands strong in the top of the standings with 61 points (32 goals, 29 assists) followed by Gurson with 55 points (40 goals, 15 assists).

St. Louis is coming off of a 25-16 multipoint defeat at Harrisburg and a 6-5 win against the Detroit Waza Flo. On the other hand, the Comets will enter the match having defeated the Mustangs 7-2 at home.

Right before the MASL trade deadline, both teams made changes to their rosters. The Ambush sent forward Corey Adamson to the Milwaukee Wave in exchange for Anthony Arico.

Head coach Vlatko Andonovski and the Comets announced the signing of 19-year-old midfielder Cody Hoffman.

Following the match, the reigning MISL Champions will return to Kansas City before heading to Wichita when they visit the B-52s at Hartman Arena on Sunday.
