The Canton Charge (4-3), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, held on to defeat the Delaware 87ers (3-2), 106-104 at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark. Canton gets over .500 for the first time this season with their third-straight victory.
The Charge as a team have shot at least 50% in every one of the victories during this three game streak, with the squad hitting 46-of-74 for a season-best .622 percent tonight. A season-high six players scored in double figures for Canton, with their reserves outscoring Delaware's second unit, 42-23.
Arinze Onuaku tallied a third-consecutive double-double with 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting, 17 rebounds and one block in 34 minutes. Cleveland Cavaliers assignment Alex Kirk finished with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting and five boards in 36 minutes. Justin Johnson netted a team-high 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting and five assists in 28 minutes off the bench. Michael Dunigan added 10 points and two blocks in 21 minutes.
All five Delaware starters scored in double figures, led by Victor Rudd's 22 points with five rebounds and two steals. Ronald Roberts scored 17 points with seven rebounds and three steals in 38 minutes.
