Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Stampeders will try to avenge their only home loss of the 2014 season when they face the BC Lions in the Wild West Showdown on Saturday. Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 7:30 p.m.
Both teams are coming off defeats in Week 13 - the Stamps dropped a 31-15 decision in Montreal on Sunday while the Lions fell to the Toronto Argonauts 40-23 at BC Place on Friday.
Calgary is 10-2 and in first place in the West Division while BC is 7-5 and in fourth position.
The Stamps are looking to avenge a 25-24 loss to the Leos on Aug. 1. It's the only Calgary setback at McMahon Stadium this season and the only home loss in nine regular-season games dating back to Oct. 5, 2013.
The contest features the league's two stingiest defences as Calgary has allowed a league-low 19.3 points per game while BC is right behind the Stamps at 19.7 points per contest.
Calgary also leads the CFL with an average of 28.9 points scored per game.
The game kicks off an important final third of the season for the Stamps as Calgary will face division opponents exclusively in the final six games, with two meetings apiece against BC, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg.
Fan Zone presented by Dodge
The Dodge Fan Zone will be open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Fan Zone is located across from the Ticket Office and Stamps Store on the east side of McMahon. The area features YYC food trucks, partner games and giveaways and plenty of seating. There is also a live DJ (line dancing is encouraged!) and a free photo booth.

Fans are encouraged to show their western pride at the stadium. Throughout the game, prizes - including jerseys - will be given out to fans who are wearing cowboy hats and to fans who use the hashtag #wildwestshowdown on Twitter or Facebook.
Everyone's all-time favourite country songs will be blasting from the loud speaker during the game. Fans can vote for their favourites by visiting stampeders.com/wildwest
Timbits Football
The Okotoks Eagles and Calgary SW Bulldogs will face each other on the field in some pre-game action.
King of the Field
All season long, Stamps fans have been qualifying to win a Ram 1500 truck through the "King of the Field" giveaway. Three more lucky fans will be randomly selected at Saturday's game to reach 20 total contestants.
At halftime, all 20 participants will compete in a game of chance on the field and someone will drive away in a new Ram 1500 truck.
