Stanley Robinson Out for the Remainder of the Season Due to Injury

January 30, 2014 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - Moncton Miracles News Release


The Moncton Miracles have announced that 6'9" Forward, Stanley Robinson, has torn his Achilles Tendon. The incident occurred in practice on Tuesday, January 28th . Robinson, who has been a vital force on the court this season with the Miracles is looking at recovery time of 10-14 weeks. He will be wearing a cast / boot for approximately the first 6 weeks of recovery, after which point he will be able to begin rehabilitation of the injury. Fortunately, it is unlikely that Robinson will have to undergo surgery.

Robinson has been an important part of the Miracles Roster throughout the 2013/2014 season, averaging 8.11 Rebounds per game, and 15 Points per game. Prior to playing with the Miracles, Robinson played for the Connecticut Huskies of the University of Connecticut, and spent the 2011-2012 season playing in the NBA-D League for the Iowa Energy. His role with the Miracles has been invaluable this season and the organization looks forward to his healthy and fast recovery
