Pelicans Debut Rougned Odor "Scratch and Sniff" Baseball Card

2013 Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball card sets are now available in the Pelicans Merchandise Store at TicketReturn.com Field. About 500 of the team sets include a Rougned Odor "scratch and sniff" BubbleGum baseball card. Nearly 250 of those are autographed by the all-star second baseman.

"We wanted to keep the fun in our Team Sets and play on Odor's last name," said Dan Bailey, the Pelicans Merchandise Manager. "We decided it would be a good fit to make the "Odor" card being a scratch and sniff."

The team sets are currently selling for $12 in the Team Store. The Odor cards are randomly inserted into the decks.

"Odor is one of the top prospects in the Rangers system and clearly has a bright future," Pelicans Vice President and General Manager Andy Milovich said. "This is a unique card for a young man who is just beginning his quest to make it to the Big Leagues."

He was recently selected for the Futures Final Man vote for the 2013 Futures Game to be played in New York City on July 14.

For the first time, fans will determine the final player on both the U.S. and World Team rosters by casting their votes in the All-Star Sunday Futures Finalists (#FuturesFinalists) ballot, available exclusively on MLB.com/futuresfinalists and the Club sites. Fans may begin voting immediately and cast their ballots until Sunday, June 30th at 11:59 p.m. (EDT).

In addition to voting on the web, fans also may use their mobile phones to cast votes via text message. To receive the All-Star Sunday Futures Finalists ballot, text the word "VOTE" to 89269. Individual player votes may be cast directly via text by sending a player's code to 89269. Odor's player code is "W5." Standard text messaging fees apply.

The Pelicans are in the midst of six-game home stand at TicketReturn.com Field. Tonight is slated to be "Boy Band Night" as the Pelicans pay tribute to the great boy bands past and present. Family Sunday will feature pregame catch on the field and postgame fireworks. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.myrtlebeachpelicans.com or by calling 918-6000.
