
High School Hockey Championships to Air on Brighthouse Sports Network

Orlando Solar Bears News Release
Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that the Central Florida High School Hockey League (CFHSHL) semi-finals and finals will be televised on Brighthouse Sports Network this week. Teams are competing for the Solar Bears Championship Cup.
The two semi-final games will take place on Thursday, June 20, at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den. At 7:00pm, Seminole North will play Seminole South in the first game. That contest will be followed by Volusia vs. Orange West at 9:00pm. Both games will air on Brighthouse Sports Network Channel 47 or HD Channel 1147.
The winners of the two semi-final contests will meet on Saturday, June 22, to battle for the Solar Bears Championship Cup. The 4:30pm matchup will be held at the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den with the winner being presented the Solar Bears Championship Cup following the game. Solar Bears PA voice Paco Lopez will serve as the Public Address announcer during all three of the games.
The four teams are comprised of players representing 28 Central Florida high schools, as follows:
Seminole North (Winter Park, Lake Nona, Timber Creek, Wekiva, and University) S eminole South (Lyman, Lake Brantley, Hagerty and Seminole Virtual)
Volusia (University, Flagler Palm Coast, Deland, Father Lopez, Fleming Island, Yulee, Atlantic, Bershire, FLVS, Spruce Creek, Seabreeze and Mandarin)
Orange West (West Orange, Lake Highland Prep, Montverde, Apopka, Dr. Phillips, Freedom and Boone)
The Solar Bears are the title sponsor of the League and have provided jerseys and socks for the teams in the CFHSHL. The league continues the growth of high school hockey in Florida by establishing the Solar Bears Conference to join with South Florida's Panthers Conference and the Lightning Conference in Tampa Bay. All games have been played at the Solar Bears practice facility, the RDV Sportsplex Ice Den in Orlando and at the Space Coast Iceplex in Rockledge, FL.
