'Fish Pinched by Crabs

(Bridgeport, Conn. - May 23, 2013) - The Bridgeport Bluefish were defeated by the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs 12-2 in Thursday night's game at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

Southern Maryland used a six run second inning to jump ahead of the Bluefish. Bridgeport starter, Mike Parisi (1-4) took the loss as he gave up eight runs on nine hits in three-and-one-third innings.

Blue Crabs starter Michael Ballard (1-2) picked up his first win of the year. He pitched his best game of the season by completing seven innings giving up eight hits and allowing one run.

Luis Rodriguez (3-for-4, 2 R) had three hits for the 'Fish and scored both of the runs. Those runs were driven home by Austin Krum (2-for-5, 2 RBI) who had two hits. Russ Mitchell and Alexis Gomez each added two hits apiece.
