Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release

Sugar Land slugged their way to a 9-0 win, and now have won sixth straight games, improving to an amazing 28-5 overall. After getting a run in the first, they put four on the board in the second thanks to an error and four walks by starter Chris Cody and lead 5-0 after two. They added four more runs from the fifth to the seventh, powered by homeruns from Michael Rockett and Dominic Ramos.

After one rain delay earlier, the game was finally cancelled when the rain came down once again and the game was stopped in the bottom of the eighth and the Skeeters would win by that 9-0 final. Michael Nix improves to 4-0, by allowing just one hit in five innings, extending his scoreless inning streak to 24 in a row, but Aaron Bates hitting streak ends at 20 after going 0-4.
