MILWAUKEE, May 20 - The Milwaukee Wave and the Wisconsin Center District signed a two year contract to ensure the Wave will remain in Downtown Milwaukee.

Steve Palec of CRESA represented Sue Black, owner and CEO of the Wave. Palec played a critical role in brokering the deal between the Wisconsin Center District and the Wave.

"This was an honor because it is about the vibrancy of our city, the continued success of downtown and the future of a sport that continues to explode. And I would add that it was great to assist in a small way the start of what will be a sports story in and of itself. We will all witness the unique promotion that a dedicated owner like Sue Black is about to bring to another gem in our community," said Palec.

"It's very exciting for me, personally, to be coming back to the U.S. Cellular Arena. We have great memories here, winning championships. The home field advantage is certainly great and the arena is considered the best playing field in the Major Indoor Soccer League," said Keith Tozer, Head Coach and Senior VP of Soccer Operations.

"I think it's fantastic. The U.S. Cellular Arena provides a great atmosphere for the team and allows the fans to get close to the action," said Nick Vorberg, starting goalkeeper.

The U.S. Cellular Arena has been home to the Wave for the past 10 years.

"We have made a commitment to the community and the Wave will remain a part of the Wisconsin sports scene. We are also pleased to get the deal done at an early date which will allows us to get a head start on the season," said Black.

The home schedule and ticket information for the upcoming season will be made available to the public as soon as possible.
