
Thunder Ignite CHL Finals Home Games with Weekend Festivities

Wichita, KS (May 2nd) - The Blue Revolution returns to INTRUST Bank Arena in the CHL Finals against the Allen Americans and the Thunder wants YOU back to join us for the weekend festivities that includes a block party before Saturday's game.
The fun begins at 4 p.m. in front of Entrance A and B off of Waterman Street. There will be live radio remotes with prize giveaways, beer garden featuring $5 blue draws with a commemorative Thunder Finals Cup, Mobile Game Den with outdoor laser tag, Bricks for Kids offering tons of fun using LEGO bricks for the children, inflatables provided by Big Sky Party Rentals, Hiland Dairy truck giving away free ice cream cups, face painters, $1 hot dogs and Pepsi products, sponsor tables with your chance to register and win Jason Aldean tickets and more. Come meet your favorite Freedom Advisory Lightning girls as they will be out assisting in all the activities. Fans are encouraged to wear blue and keep the Revolution going as the team attempts to Blue Out INTRUST Bank Arena this weekend.
Wichita Wingnuts manager Kevin Hooper will be in attendance on Saturday and will drop the opening face-off. Hooper enters his fifth year behind the Wingnuts bench and has guided his team to four consecutive winning seasons with an overall record of 222-170 (.566), three division titles and a berth in the 2012 American Association Championship Series.
On Sunday, the Thunder will welcome Gregg Marshall, head coach of the Wichita State Men's Basketball team, to drop the ceremonial face-off along with his family. Marshall is coming off quite a run for the Shockers who appeared in the Final Four for the first time since 1965.
Wichita plays tonight in Game 2 against the Allen Americans at 7:05 p.m. and looks to take a 2-0 series lead, winning Game 1 on Tuesday night by the final of 4-1. There will be watch party at Pucks Sports Bar inside the Wichita Ice Center for any fans that are interested in viewing the game. Fans are encouraged to get to Pucks early as seating fills up quickly.
