Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators head to Cincinnati for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals tied at one game each in the best-of-seven series. Cincinnati posted a 3-2 win over Gwinnett in Game 1 of the series on Friday while the Gladiators answered with a 3-0 win over the Cyclones in Game 2 on Sunday. Games 3, 4 & 5 are at the US Bank Arena on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of this week.

Cyclones Series Info:
Cincinnati earned a trip to the Conference Semi-Finals with a four-games-to-two series win over the Toledo Walleye in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Cincinnati is led in scoring in the post-season by forward David Pacan who has earned eight points in eight playoff games. Netminder Michael Houser has started all eight playoff games for the Cyclones and has earned a 0.933 save percentage and a 2.06 GAA in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Friday, April 19: Cincinnati 3, Gwinnett 2-L
The Cincinnati Cyclones used three third period goals to post a 3-2 win in Game 1 of the ECHL Eastern Conference Semi-Finals on Friday night at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Gwinnett took a 1-0 lead in the second on Dallas Jackson's first post season goal. Cincinnati posted the first of their three third period goals just 37 seconds in the frame with a marker by Trevor Lewis. Domenic Monardo answered for Gwinnett, but Justin Vaive and David Pacan answered for a 3-2 lead before the midway mark of the period to post the win.
Sunday, April 21: Gwinnett 3, Cincinnati 0 - W
Louis Domingue posted 22 saves for his second shutout of the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs to help lift the Gladiators to a 3-0 win over Cincinnati in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Justin Bowers opened the scoring late in the first with a power play goal and Domenic Monardo extended the Gwinnett lead to 2-0 with the second man advantage goal of the contest early in the third. Ryan Donald added a shorthanded, empty net goal for Gwinnett with just 43 second left to put the contest away and tie the series at one game each. Monardo extended his point-scoring streak to four games with his tally.
News & Notes:
Blanked! Gladiators goaltender Louis Domingue picked up his second shutout of the post-season in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones. He notched 24 saves in a 5-0 blanking of the South Carolina Stingrays in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. His two playoff shutouts moves Domingue into a tie for most in a post-season career with Craig Kowalski. Kowalski notched a pair of shutouts for Gwinnett in the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Rookie Rises! Forward Domenic Monardo scored a goal in each of the last two games with Gwinnett in the post-season and has a four-game point-scoring streak for the Gladiators. His four-game point-scoring streak is currently the longest point-scoring streak on the Gladiators. He has notched four points (two goals, two assists) in his current streak.
Back to Back: The Gladiators have lost 31 games all time in the post season in eight playoff seasons. Gwinnett has never lost back-to-back games in a series and gone on to win the series. The Gladiators have lost multiple games in a playoff series and eventually gone on to win the series.
Power Play Goals: In the Round 2 of the Kelly Cup Series Gwinnett has capitalized on three power play chances. The Gladiators are currently ranked first on the power play as they have converted on 33.3% of their power play chances. In the first two games of the Conference Semifinals, Gwinnett has scored three power play goals on 11 man-advantage chances. In the Conference Quarterfinals, Gwinnett went 4-for-11 on the power play.
Three in a Row: In addition to Monardo's four-game point scoring streak, Doug Jones and Sacha Guimond have earned points in each of the past three games for the Gladiators. Jones has notched three assists for Gwinnett in that span while Guimond has earned one goal and two assists for Gwinnett.
Moving Up: Forward Andy Brandt has moved into sole possession of 8th place all time for most playoff games played as a Gwinnett Gladiator. Brandt skated in his 24th playoff game in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones. He will move into a tie with Guillaume Desbiens for 7th with his next playoff game appearance for Gwinnett. Cam Brown holds the all time team record for most playoff games appearances as he skated in 38 Kelly Cup Playoff Games with the Gladiators from 2004 through 2006.
