
Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Guard Scott Machado from Vipers

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired guard Scott Machado from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for Santa Cruz's original second-round draft pick and center Chris Daniels.
Machado, a 6'2", 206-pound guard, is averaging 10.3 points and 6.1 assists in 18 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. A standout at Iona College where he led the nation in assists last season (327), Machado was named the 2009 MAAC Rookie of the Year and the 2012 MAAC Player of the Year.
