Stampede Weekly Update: Herd Look to Extend Win Streak on the Road this Weekend

The Sioux Falls Stampede (25-8-1) will put their nine-game winning streak on the line this weekend when they travel to Green Bay and Cedar Rapids. Game times are 7:05 PM each night and can be heard on KELO-AM 1320 and online at www.keloam.com Fans can also watch the games live on Fasthockey.com

Stampede Win 9th straight game

Sioux Falls went a perfect 3-0-0 last weekend, topping Waterloo last Wednesday 8-3, Des Moines 7-1 on Friday and Sioux City, 2-1 on Saturday for their ninth straight win. The Stampede have outscored their opponents 48 to 22 during their current winning streak.

The franchise record for longest winning streak is 16, set back during the 2005-06 season.

12 former players in NHL training camps

12 former Stampede players are participating in NHL Training Camps this week. They won't have long to impress coaches as the regular season begins on Saturday and there will be no exhibition games this year.

Lindgren ranked 23rd overall by NHL Central Scouting

Stampede netminder Charlie Lindgren is ranked 23rd overall in the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term Rankings for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Wiener Dog Races set for Feb. 16

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 16th for the 6th annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic "Wiener Dog Races!" This is an event that you won't want to miss as 40 wiener dogs will compete for the championship on arena ice in between the first and second periods.

Stampede bus trips set for Feb. 2 & 23
