ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Thursday announced that Evansville's Matt Gens has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of a hit in the second period of ECHL Game #328, Kalamazoo at Evansville, on Dec. 22.
Gens is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Gens will miss Evansville's games vs. Elmira (Dec. 28) and vs. Cincinnati (Dec. 29).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
