SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings will pay tribute during this Saturday's game to the memory of Noah Costa, who passed away suddenly in November 2010.

The team will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off immediately following the game and special "Noah's Gift" merchandise and giveaways will be available, with all proceeds benefiting the Noah's Gift Endowment Fund at The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. All participants from this year's Noah's Gift Memorial 5K Run-Walk-Skate will receive a discounted admittance rate to the game.

Additionally, Michael Herring, the overall winner of the 2012 Noah's Gift race, will be at the game to drop the ceremonial puck, along with this year's grant winners.

Noah's Gift grants, inspired by the life and times of 16-year-old Costa, make extraordinary experiences possible for young peopleages 13-19 with the intention of inspiring philanthropy. The Noah's Gift 5K race is the major source of public funding for the Noah's Gift Fund.

The overall winners of this year's race included runners Herring, 17, of Hernando (19:32) and Jordan Simpson, 18, of Hernando (25:31) and skaters Matt Whitehead, 27, a forward on the RiverKings team (15:39) and Lindsay Riggin, 32, of Kincardine, Ont., Canada (16:07).

Both Belhaven University and Farm Bureau Agent Michael McLendon sponsored the Oct. 13, 2012 Noah's Gift race in Hernando, Miss.
