Join Mallards for Family Resources Teddy Bear Toss December 7

MOLINE, Ill. (November 27, 2012) - The Quad City Mallards will team with Family Resources for the Family Resources Teddy Bear Toss Presented by Mix 96 and WOC News Talk 1420 Friday, December 7 when the Mallards take on the Missouri Mavericks at the i wireless Center at 7:05 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring new stuffed animals to the December 7 game and toss them onto the ice after the Mallards' first goal of that contest. The teddy bears will then be collected from the ice and donated to Family Resources.

"The Teddy Bear Toss will bring smiles to the faces of children who have experienced trauma in their lives," said Cheryl Goodwin, president and CEO of Family Resources. "Whether they have been involved in domestic violence, neglect, divorce, or other traumatic events, we provide a safe place to heal and move forward. The generosity of the Quad City Mallards and their wonderful fans will bring a little happiness to kids and families that could really use it, and at just the right time of year."

Family Resources is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe place for children, women and families that have experienced trauma, offering a variety of services including domestic violence shelters, rape/sexual assault victim services, mental health services and 24-hour care and education for kids who have been abused, neglected, or suffer from emotional problems. Tickets for the December 7 game- as well as seats for all remaining Mallards regular season home games- can be purchased in person at the i wireless Center ticket office, at Ticketmaster outlets,

through www.ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The ticket office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.

2012-13 Mallards season tickets as well as the Mallards' new Partial Punch Plan are also still available. The Mallards offer ticket packages to meet any budget, including youth season tickets now available for as little at $165. The Partial Punch Plan provides flexibility and affordability- each Punch Plan punch card can be redeemed for ten tickets- whether those tickets are for ten different games, all for the same game or anything in between- subject to availability.
