
Defenseman Juilen Brouillette Assigned to Reading

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Julien Brouillette ["bru YET"] has been assigned from the Bears to the Royals.
Last season, Brouillette (5'11/194) (25), a sixth year pro from St. Espirit, Quebec, was the third leading scoring defenseman for Hershey, registering twenty-one points (7g-14a) and twenty-four penalty minutes in seventy-four games with the Bears. Two seasons ago, Brouillette was second in d-man scoring for the Greenville Road Warriors, racking up twenty-three points (11g-12a) in just twenty-five ECHL games. That same season, Brouillette, who was selected to represent Greenville in the 2011 ECHL All-Star game, led the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL in plus-minus, playing to a plus 17 (+17) in forty-nine AHL games. In back-to-back seasons with the ECHL's Charlotte Checkers (2008-09 and 2009-10), Brouillette led defensemen on the team in scoring, recording sixty-two points (24g-38a) over 117 ECHL games in that two year span. Prior to turning pro, Brouillette racked up 123 points (27a-96a) and 206 penalty minutes in 227 total games with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In his second full season in the Q (2005-06), Brouillette led the Sagueneens by playing to a plus-53 (+53) in seventy major junior games.
Tonight, the Royals travel to Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey, where they'll face the Trenton Titans at 7:05 pm. Radio broadcast kicks off at 6:35 pm on ESPN Radio in Reading (1240 am and 98.5 fm). Tonight's game, as with all Royals' road games this season will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania, on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and Apple Vacations.
