Haddad Returns to Gwinnett for 2012-13 Season

The Gwinnett Gladiators have agreed to terms with forward Joey Haddad for the 2012-13 season.

Haddad earned 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) in 43 games last season with Gwinnett. He also had three points (two goals, one assist) in four Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Gladiators.

The Sydney, Nova Scotia native also earned two call-ups to the American Hockey League last year. Haddad did not record a point in eight games with Bridgeport from December 26th through January 20th. He notched one goal in 11 AHL games with Hamilton from February 15th through March 22nd.

Haddad split time with both Wheeling and AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in each of his first two professional seasons. He earned a combined 63 points (28 goals, 35 assists) in 84 games from 2009-2011 with Wheeling. While in the AHL, Haddad notched 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 45 games with the Penguins.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
