(Toledo, OH) - Forwards Jake Trask and Josh "Podge" Turnbull have agreed to terms with Toledo for the 2012-13 season.

Turnbull, a native of Hayward, Wisconsin, joins Toledo after splitting time last year between South Carolina and Utah in the ECHL. In 28 games, Podge scored two goals with six assists.

"Podge will bring some nice energy to our team this year," said Head Coach Nick Vitucci. "He is gritty and has a flair for offense." Originally a fifth round draft choice of the Los Angeles Kings (#137 overall) in 2007, Turnbull played his college hockey at the University of Wisconsin. The 24 year old set career highs with 13 goals and 20 points in his senior season (2010-11) with the Badgers.

Trask makes his professional debut this fall with the Walleye. Jake has spent the two years playing Junior Hockey in his hometown of Saskatoon. "Jake has tremendous speed and finishing ability," said head coach Nick Vitucci. "Although he is a young player, he has the skill set to make things happen on the ice."

While with the Blades in the WHL, Trask collected 120 points (53g, 67a) in 163 games. He appeared in 266 games over his Junior career.

The Toledo Walleye will open the 2012-13 regular season on Saturday, October 13th at home against the Division Rival Kalamazoo Wings. 2012-13 Season tickets are on sale now online at www.toledowalleye.com, or by phone at (419) 725-9255.
