Royals Training Camp Kicks off with Series of 'Fan-Friendly' Evening Practices

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, today announced the Royals' Pre-Season Training Camp Schedule. The on-ice practice sessions will begin on Monday, October 1, 2012, at 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. In fact, the first four on-ice practice sessions for the Royals 2012-13 Pre-Season Training Camp are slated for the 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm time slot. All on-ice practice sessions during Royals' Pre-Season Training Camp will be held at the Sovereign Center and are open to the public. There will be merchandise items available for purchase during the evening practice sessions.

The Pre-Season Training Camp Schedule includes a two-game exhibition series against the Trenton Titans. Game One of the series is set for Friday, October 5 (7:05 pm) at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey. The teams will then face off at the Sovereign Center on Saturday October 6 (7:05 pm) in the back end of the home-and-home series. The Royals' have once again partnered with the Reading Eagle to invite everyone in the Greater Reading Region and beyond to attend the Royals' pre-season game on Saturday, October 6, at the Sovereign Center for FREE! Fans can gain admission to the Royals' home pre-season game by simply presenting the coupon that will be published in the Reading Eagle in the days leading up to the pre-season game.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012: 10:00 am - 12:00 noon (Sovereign Center)

The Royals open the 2012-13 regular season in Elmira, New York, on Friday, October 12, 2012, when the team will take on the Elmira Jackals at 7:05 pm. The next night, Saturday, October 13, 2012, the Royals open the home season when the Titans visit the Sovereign Center at 7:05 pm.
