Oilers Announce Date for 2012-13 Home Opener

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League announced Thursday the date and time of their home opener for the 2012-13 season.

The Oilers will play their first of 33 home games at the BOK Center on Friday, October 26th at 7:35 p.m. The opponent for the game has yet to be determined.

Tulsa will begin its 21st season in the CHL and its 5th season at the BOK Center.

"We're looking forward to another fantastic season of hockey in Tulsa and I know our fans are fired up to see this team on the ice," said Oilers General Manager Taylor Hall. "Coach (Bruce) Ramsay has worked very diligently during this off-season to improve our club and we can't wait to start putting on a great show for our loyal fans."

Ramsay, entering his fourth season behind the Tulsa bench, led the Oilers to a 29-29-8 record during the 2011-12 campaign. The Oilers return several key veterans and contributors from last year including Tyler Fleck, Gio Flamminio, Sean Erickson, and Ryan Cramer.
