Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

San Bernardino, CA - A five-run first inning for the 66ers set the pace on Tuesday evening, as Inland Empire cruised to a 10-3 victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at San Manuel Stadium.

Inland Empire starter Manaurys Correa (6-7) was brilliant, pitching into the eighth inning, while holding the Quakes to just one run on six hits over 7 2/3 innings.

Quakes' starter Brandon Martinez (3-3) was roughed up for five first-inning runs and recorded only two outs, before being removed.

Inland Empire picked up another in the second off of reliever Jordan Roberts, as Ryan Jones earned a bases-loaded walk, giving the 66ers a commanding 6-0 lead.

Taylor Lindsey ripped a two-run homer in the sixth and Inland Empire took advantage of two Quakes' errors in the seventh to take a 9-0 advantage.

Rancho's first offensive highlight came from Leon Landry, who tripled home Charlie Mirabal in the eighth inning, busting up the shutout to make it 9-1.

Inland Empire capped their scoring in the eighth off Scott McGough, as C.J. Cron knocked in his league-leading 91st RBI, scoring Drew Heid and making it 10-1.

Bobby Coyle cracked his fifth round-tripper of the year, a two-run shot with Angelo Songco aboard in the ninth, rounding out the scoring at 10-3.

With four straight losses, the Quakes (12-20, 49-53) will try to turn things around on Wednesday night, sending Andres Santiago (5-3) to the mound, opposite Andrew Smith (2-0).
