Rochester Americans Agree to Terms with Frederick Roy on AHL Contract

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has agreed to terms with center Frederick Roy on an American Hockey League contract.

Roy, 21, recorded 92 points on 27 goals and 65 assists in 64 games last season with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL. His 92 points led the Remparts and ranked tied for fourth in the QMJHL. Roy, a native of Montreal, Quebec, added 12 points (2+10) in 11 playoff games.

In 188 career games with Quebec, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Roy registered 62 goals and 118 assists for 180 points. He also tallied 34 points (12+22) in 50 career playoff games.
