RiverKings Release Schedule

July 16, 2012 - Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) Mississippi RiverKings

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- The Mississippi RiverKings announced on Monday their schedule for the 2012-13 season. For the second straight season, the team will begin the year on home ice, facing the Augusta RiverHawks on October 26.

RiverKings' fans will get a hefty dose of weekend hockey action as 19 of the team's 28 home games land on Fridays or Saturdays. The 10th annual Face Off Field Trip (FOFT) lands on Tuesday, November 13, while the second FOFT comes two months later on January 29.

The RiverKings hit the road for the first time November 3 against their cross-state rivals, the Mississippi Surge. The 'Kings get their first shot at revenge against the Knoxville Ice Bears, in Knoxville, on November 17 after the Ice Bears eliminated the RiverKings from last year's playoffs.
