July 4, 2012 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Rochester Knighthawks News Release

(Rochester, July 4)... Kids can learn lacrosse skills from the 2012 World Champion Rochester Knighthawks this summer at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. Arrows Express Sports Camp will present the Summer Camp with the Rochester Knighthawks from Monday, July 16th to Thursday, July 19th.

The kids will learn proper stretching, skills and drills, and fitness training. Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily and caters to kids ages eight to 13. Prices range from $55 to $75. Head instructors are 15-year veteran Mike Accursi and two-time NLL Goaltender of the Year Matt Vinc. For Accursi, it's a chance for the father and professional athlete to pass along his passion to aspiring lacrosse players.

"The youth are the future of the sport. Helping young people learn and love the game as I do is always fun," said Accursi.

It has become a tradition at the ILA to provide the kids with world-class instruction from their weekday clinics to holiday camps. The facility, which was built in 2004 by Knighthawks Owner and General Manager Curt Styres, serves as the home floor for the Six Nations Arrows Junior "A" program, which has produced stars like Cody Jamieson, Sid Smith, Craig Point, Johnny Powless, Alex "Kedoh" Hill, Andy Secore, Joel White and Brett Bucktooth to name a few. It also serves as the practice facility for numerous NLL teams, including the Rochester Knighthawks.
