Tulsa Drillers News Release
Only 24 hours after failing to hold a two-run lead against Arkansas, the Tulsa Drillers turned the tables on the Travelers Friday night at ONEOK Field. The Drillers and starting pitcher Parker Frazier allowed two first inning runs, but it was all the offense the Travs would generate as the Drillers rallied for a 3-2 win.
Tulsa was held to only six hits in the victory, but one of those was a clutch two-out, two-run double from Lars Davis in the fourth inning that put the Drillers in front to stay.

The comeback was a welcome site for the crowd of 7,039 and for Frazier, who has suffered from a lack of run support this season. The Tulsa native settled down after the difficult first and worked six shutout innings before turning things over to the bullpen.
The Travelers early lead came via a two-out rally in the opening frame. Frazier retired the first two batters of the game before surrendering consecutive singles to Roberto Lopez and Casey Haerther. Adam Heether made it three straight hits when he doubled over the head of centerfielder Mike Mitchell, scoring both runners to give the Travs the lead.
Nolan Arenado cut the Tulsa deficit in half when he hit his second home run of the season in the bottom of the first. The solo shot landed near the top of the terrace section in left field.
Arkansas held its one-run lead until Davis struck in the fourth. The inning began with a leadoff single by Ben Paulsen, but Arkansas starter Ariel Pena retired the next two batters. He then issued a two-out walk to Mike Zuanich, setting the stage for the Tulsa catcher. Davis worked a full count against Pena before fouling off four straight pitches. On the next offering, he lined a double into the right field corner that plated both Paulsen and Zuanich to give the Drillers a 3-2 lead.
Frazier allowed eight hits and the two runs in his seven innings. The victory improved his record to 2-3.
Joey Williamson allowed one hit in a scoreless eighth inning.
Coty Woods also surrendered a one-out single in the ninth before retiring the next two hitters to record his seventh save. Woods has not allowed a run in 16 outings this season.
The Drillers and Travelers will continue their series at 7:05PM Saturday night at ONEOK Field. The pitching matchup will feature Jorge De La Rosa for Tulsa. De La Rosa is on a major league injury rehabilitation assignment from the Colorado Rockies as he recovers from Tommy John surgery. The native of Mexico is expected to throw approximately 85 pitches. Arkansas will send Orangel Arenas (1-3, 4.15 ERA) to the mound.
