Tulsa Drillers News Release
The Tulsa Drillers will play their third homestand of the 2012 season beginning on Thursday, May 10 at ONEOK Field. It will total eight games with four against the Arkansas Travelers (Los Angeles Angels), followed by another four-game set against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals). The homestand will run for eight straight days with the final game being played on Thursday, May 17.
Warren Schaeffer and the Tulsa Drillers will host a pair of North Division rivals in an 8-game homestand at ONEOK Field.
Three of the games will be played during the day. The game on Sunday, May 13 will have a 2:05PM start time and will feature several special promotions to celebrate Mother's Day. The game on Monday, May 14 will begin at 4:05PM so that downtown workers will have an opportunity to attend. The last of the three day games will be an 11:05AM start on Wednesday, May 16. It will be a Field Trip Day with the first 1,000 kids receiving Hornsby Anti-Bullying coloring books.
The homestand is filled with great promotions, including two Thirsty Thursdays on May 10 and May 17 and a Friday Night Fireworks show on May 11. Other events include $2 Tuesday on May 15, Grand Slam Saturday on May 12 and a special Family FUNday Sunday on May 13th.
The Grand Slam Saturday will feature a pre-game soccer clinic with the University of Tulsa soccer teams. In addition, the first 1,500 kids, ages 12 and under, to enter through the Oil Derrick and Arvest Entrances will receive a Drillers soccer ball courtesy of Pepsi.

Tickets for all games in the homestand are now on sale at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office at 201 N. Elgin Ave. and at TulsaDrillers.com. Tickets are also available by calling the Ticket Office at (918)744-5901.
THE MATCHUPS: The Drillers won three of four games from Arkansas during a four-game series at ONEOK Field in April. It will be the first visit to Tulsa this season for Northwest Arkansas.
RIGHT AT HOME: Tulsa is 12-2 at ONEOK Field, the best home record in the Texas League. Overall, Drillers pitchers have a 2.06 ERA in those 14 games.
BUSY SCHEDULE: The homestand will mark the beginning of a busy stretch at ONEOK Field for the Drillers. Starting with the May 10 game, they will play 14 games at home over a 19-day period.

SOCIAL MEDIA NIGHT/ THIRSTY THURSDAY
The homestand begins with the Drillers first-ever Social Media Night and Thirsty Thursday courtesy of Vista Shadow Mountain and 106.1 GenX. Fans are encouraged to check the Drillers Facebook Page and Twitter feed for updates and special offers before and during the game. In addition, 12 ounce servings of Bud and Bud Light and 16 ounce servings of Pepsi products will be on sale for only $1 each.

NEWS ON 6 FRIDAY NIGHT FIREWORKS
It will be another explosive evening in downtown Tulsa as it is another News on 6 Friday Night Fireworks Show presented by Osage Casinos! The first 2,000 fans to enter through the Oil Derrick and Arvest Entrances will receive a free T-Shirt courtesy of Osage Casinos.
Saturday, May 12. . . Arkansas Travelers (7:05PM) - Gates Open at 6:00PM
TULSA'S CHANNEL 8 GRAND SLAM SATURDAY / DRILLERS SOCCER BALL GIVEAWAY / PRE-GAME SOCCER CLINIC
The first 1,500 kids, ages 12 and under, to enter the stadium with a paid admission through the Oil Derrick and Arvest Entrances will receive a Drillers soccer ball courtesy of Pepsi.
The fun begins before the game with a special pre-game soccer clinic with the University of Tulsa soccer teams and coaches from Soccer City. The clinic will run from 5:45 PM until 6:30 PM and is for children ages 5-12. Tulsa soccer legend Charlie Mitchell will be on hand to throw out the first pitch and sign autographs for fans. This is all brought to you by Pepsi, Tulsa's Channel 8, and Mix 96.

2 NEWS WORKS FOR YOU FAMILY FUNDAY SUNDAY / MOTHER'S DAY/ YOUTH SKILLS CAMP
It's a special Mother's Day edition of 2 News Works for You Family FUNday Sunday with a number of great activities planned for young fans and their moms! Before the game, youth baseball and softball players will be allowed onto the field for a clinic with the Drillers players. The clinic will run from 12:40-1:20PM. Kids wishing to participate are encouraged to arrive at the stadium at 12:30PM.
The first 500 young fans, ages 12 and under, will get a Kids Eat Free Coupon that is redeemable for a free hot dog, ice cream and milk courtesy of Borden Dairy and K95.
Carnations will be given out to the first 500 Moms and the Drillers players will be wearing special pink jerseys.
After the game, all kids and their mothers will be able to go onto the field to run the bases courtesy of Danny Beck Chevrolet.

BUSINESSPERSON'S SPECIAL / HAPPY HOUR
The Drillers give everyone the perfect way to conclude their workday with a Businessperson's Special, Happy Hour presented by the Tulsa Business Journal and KRMG AM 740 & 102.3FM. Servings of Budweiser, Coors and Miller beers will be on sale for only $1 each from 3:00-5:00PM. There will also be free shoe shines available for fans. The special start time of 4:05PM gives you a great opportunity to unwind and enjoy baseball in downtown Tulsa .

2 NEWS WORKS FOR YOU $2 TUESDAY
It's another night of discounts at ONEOK Field with $2 Tuesday presented by Pepsi and 2 News Works For You. General Admission tickets on the Kia Lawn are only $2.00 each, while all other tickets are discounted $3.00 off normal prices. In addition, Driller Dogs, Mazzio's Pizza slices, 21oz Pepsi fountain drinks and jumbo soft pretzels will be on sale for only $2.00 each.
In addition, it is Corona Happy Hour f rom 6:00-8:00PM, with Corona bottles on sale for only $2 each at the Beer Carts located next to Siegi's Sausage Shack behind home plate and next to the BBQ Cart on the third base concourse.
After the game, young fans can go down on the field for a race from home to first base in the Danny Beck Chevrolet Dash for Gas.

DAYTIME BASEBALL
It is an early start to baseball under the sun presented by ONEOK and 98.5 KVOO. Activities will get under way prior to the game with the News on 6 Weather Show at 10:15AM. In addition, the first 1,000 young fans will receive Hornsby Anti-Bullying coloring books.

WRESTLING NIGHT / JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER APPEARANCE / THIRSTY THURSDAY
The Drillers conclude their homestand with Wrestling Night presented by 92.1 The Beat. The legendary Jerry "The King" Lawler will be in attendance to meet fans and to sign autographs. It is a Thirsty Thursday with 12 ounce servings of Miller Lite and Coors Light and 16 ounce servings of Pepsi products on sale for only $1 each.
FIRST FIDELITY BANK HIGH SCHOOL HOME RUN DERBY
Before the game, the last spot in the First Fidelity Bank Home Run Derby finals will be determined as four of the area's best high school sluggers compete. The player with the most home runs will return to ONEOK Field for the Texas League All-Star Game on June 28 as a contestant in the championship finals.
