Marion Blue Racers News Release

MARION, OHIO- The Marion Blue Racers Professional Indoor Football team is pleased to announce that 6'3 220lb kicker, Raymond "Trey" Kramer has officially signed with the AFL's Pittsburgh Power. Trey, who accumulated, a league tying record 55 yard field goal, and was a three-time Special Teams player of the week in the UIFL, moves up after only playing 6 games in his professional football career.

Trey, a Lexington, Kentucky native, previously was a professional soccer goal keeper for Puntarenas FC in Puntarenas, Costa Rica and Louisville Lightning in Louisville, Ky. He became an internet sensation, having filmed himself making consecutive 68 yard field goals at a local school near his Kentucky home (Youtube).

"He (Trey) came to Marion, having never taken a single football snap, with hopes of gaining knowledge and kicking experience that may help him in the indoor game. He'll leave us as one of the best kickers in the league," Assistant General Manager Ryan Sawyer stated.

"When we first saw Trey, he was actually a professional goalie in soccer. His aptitude and abilities have allowed him to transition to football and become a dominant kicker," Head Coach Mark Huddleston says. "Our Special Teams Coach Dave Carr has done an excellent job of working with Trey. He helped him to understand the intricacies of playing indoor football in Trey's inaugural year, thus helping him get to the AFL to play for the Pittsburgh Power."

"Marion has been very supportive," Kramer said. "Thanks to the sponsors, fans, players and staff who are helping us grow on and off the field."

Trey will join Blue Racers CEO LaMonte Coleman and former captain Defensive back Bryan Williams in Pittsburgh, as they take on the Georgia Force Saturday night at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Blue Racer fans should look for Trey and the rest of the Pittsburgh Power, as they continue their journey to an Arena Bowl Championship on Friday nights, on the NFL network.
