Fireworks, Cinco De Mayo Fiesta Highlight Homestand Events

The Tucson Padres start May with a seven-game homestand in six days. The homestand is highlighted by a fireworks show Friday, May 4 and the biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration in Tucson on Saturday. Here is a game-by-game look of the upcoming games at Kino Stadium:

Tuesday, May 1 vs. Tacoma at 7:05 pm - Eegee's Night, stop by your local eegee's and pick up a voucher for a buy one ticket, get one free to Tuesday's game. This applies to box seats and general admission seating.

Wednesday, May 2 vs. Tacoma at 7:05 pm - Wiener Wednesday, one-dollar hot dogs all game, presented by Wienerschnitzel and KVOI. The hot dog special starts at 6:00 pm. It's also Tucson Padres Social Media Night. Go to the Tucson Padres Facebook page to get more details.

Thursday, May 3 vs. Tacoma at 7:05 pm - Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, with beverages for just $1.50 each, starting at 6:00 pm when the gates open. The drink special goes until 9:00 pm. The regular 16oz Budweiser, Bud Light, and Coca-Cola products will go on sale for only $1.50 when the gates open at 6:00 pm. $2.50 crafts - Odell and Barrio Breweries. The beer special ends at 9:00 pm. Designated drivers will get a wristband for complimentary soft drinks. College students are admitted for only $4.00 with a college ID on Thursday. Budweiser Thirsty Thursday is also presented by KMSB Fox 11, K-HIT, La Ponderosa and the Tucson Weekly.

Friday, May 4 vs. Sacramento at 7:05 pm - Fireworks Spectacular, presented by KOLD News 13 Now. T his is the second of seven fireworks shows in 2012. Bring the family as the skies light up above Kino Stadium following the Padres game. Mark your calendars for the next one on June 9. Come watch the best fireworks show in Tucson after the T-Pads game vs. Sacramento.

Saturday, May 5 vs. Sacramento at 6:05 pm - Fiesta de Cinco de Mayo con los Padres, presented by Vamos a Tucson, the Mexican Consulate, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Radio Tejano, Radio Vida, La Poderosa, Maxima in Nogales, Azteca, Arizona Bilingual, and El Imparcial. The doubleheader will begin at 6:05 pm. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will start at noon and go to 6:00. Five different bands are performing throughout the day. Tickets are only $5.00 from 12:00 to 5:00. The ticket includes the Padres doubleheader. Kids 16 and under are admitted for free during the fiesta. Regular Padres prices begin at 5:00. The Fiesta includes music, dancing, food, arts and crafts and then two ballgames. The color guard from Davis Monthan will present the colors and the American National Anthem will be performed by Andi Aguayo as part of a 150th Anniversary Cinco de Mayo Celebration presented by the Mexican Consulate. The $5 tickets are available the day of event at the box office only.

Sunday, May 6 vs. Sacramento at 2:05 pm - CHASE MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY/BARK IN THE PARK, presented by PETCO - All military personnel (active, retired, and veterans) and a guest will be admitted for FREE with Military ID compliments of Chase, Midas, Jim Click Automotive Group, and Caballeros del Sol. The military ID must be presented at the Padres Box Office. Dogs will also be admitted free with their owners with the first 500 dogs receiving a free Frisbee, courtesy of PointGuardU.com. Fans may sit on the berms or in their seats with their four-legged friends. The Bark in the Park will apply at all Padres Sunday home games. Donate to the Goodwill of Southern Arizona all season and bring your receipt to the box office for 2-for-1 admission on Sundays throughout the year.
