
Thunder Adds Amateur to Playoff Roster

Wichita, KS (April 13th) - The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League is excited to announce the addition of amateur forward Matthew Brown to the playoff roster as the Thunder prepare for the Berry Conference Finals.
Brown (5'11", 190-lbs) played for the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the BCHL last season, recording 32 goals and 31 assists in 50 games. He was also named the team's MVP, Most Popular Player and the 3-Star Award. He was selected to the BCHL Second All-Star Team along with his other accolades. Brown also spent four seasons playing in the QMJHL for the Moncton Wildcats and the Quebec Remparts, where he was coached by former NHL goaltending great Patrick Roy. His best season in the QMJHL was with Moncton in 2008-09, registering 18 goals and 10 assists in 41 games.
Wichita opens the Berry Conference Finals tonight against the Texas Brahmas. Individual tickets are on sale for Games 1 and 2.
