Infused with Spokane Chiefs spirit, Spokane Mayor David Condon and Council President Ben Stuckart have declared Friday, April 13, as Spokane Chiefs Hockey Day and encourage all Spokane citizens to wear the red, white, and blue of the Spokane Chiefs on that day.

"This is a great team filled with young men who are ambassadors for our community, and Spokane is pleased to support them," says Mayor Condon.

Through the proclamation, the City is joining the community in saluting the Chiefs hockey team with a goal of helping propel them to victory.

"We have a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community on Friday--to root for our favorite hockey club, the Spokane Chiefs," says Council President Stuckart. "Go, Chiefs, go."

The Chiefs host the Tri-City Americans in game four of the WHL Western Conference Semi-Finals on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The Americans lead that series 2 to 1. Mayor Condon will drop the puck to start the game.
