Giveaway Madness at the BMO in March

Rockford, Ill. - With the regular season winding down for the Rockford IceHogs, there is still time for fans to check out one of the hottest teams in the American Hockey League and pick up one of the popular giveaways remaining on the schedule for the month of March.

The IceHogs open March with their first home contest on Sunday in the 13th annual jersey auction game. The first 1,500 fans into the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive a deck of IceHogs poker cards sponsored by Lou Bachrodt. Local band, Dirty Fishnet Stockings, will also be entertaining fans before the game and in each intermission.

The Hogs will be wearing special "Viva Rock Vegas" jerseys on Sunday that will be auctioned off immediately following the game. Additionally, various hockey memorabilia, including a Brandon Pirri game-worn AHL All-Star jersey, a game-worn Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (KHL) jersey and much more, will be available to bid on in a silent auction held on the main concourse during the game. One lucky fan attending the game will have a chance to win a 2012 45th Annual Edition Chevrolet Camaro 2SS courtesy of Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall.

Several popular giveaways still remain on the slate for the month, including water bottles and bobbleheads. The IceHogs host the Houston Aeros in the first of back-to-back contests on Friday, March 23 and the first 2,500 fans to the game will get an IceHogs water bottle courtesy of Rock Valley Culligan and 97ZOK. The very next night (March 24) is bobblehead night as the first 2,500 fans will pick up a Ben Smith bobblehead thanks to T6 Broadband.

The Hogs will wrap up the month with two changes to the promotions lineup. On Friday, March 30 the first 1,500 fans to see the IceHogs battle the Peoria Rivermen will get an IceHogs fitness towel courtesy of Peak Fitness. Then, as Rockford and San Antonio face off on Saturday, March 31, T-shirts will be handed out to the first 1,500 fans through the gates compliments of Anderson Toyota Scion.

Next Home Game: Sunday, March 11 vs. Milwaukee: The 13th annual IceHogs jersey auction is Sunday night as Rockford takes on the Admirals. Puck drop is at 5:05 p.m. This year's theme is "Rock Vegas" and the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a deck of IceHogs poker cards sponsored by Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall. There will be a live auction on the ice after the game for fans to win the special "Rock Vegas" jerseys worn by the IceHogs. The band "Dirty Fishnet Stockings" will perform before, during and after the game.
