'Dogs Battle Marlies on Home-and-Home Weekend

This week, the Hamilton Bulldogs will take on their division rivals, the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs), for the 2012 Pink in the Rink game on Friday, March 9th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum on Cogeco night. The 'Dogs will then begin their 12-game, four-week road trip by playing the Marlies again on Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum.

The first annual "Bowling with the Dawgs" event to benefit the Bulldogs Foundation's Dawgs Breakfast Program will take place this Wednesday, March 7th, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Splittsville Entertainment (1525 Stone Church Road East, Hamilton, Ontario). There are still a few spots left to bowl with your favourite member of the Hamilton Bulldogs, so register now by visiting the Foundation section of the Hamilton Bulldogs website.

We're going Pink in the Rink on Friday, March 9th, 2012 to highlight the accomplishments of women in sports. Join us in our annual celebration of Women of Excellence as we take on the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. Fans are asked to wear pink clothing to help paint the rink pink .

Friday night's game against the Toronto Marlies will be broadcast on Cable 14. To find out where you can tune in, or for more information, please check your local listings or visit www.cable14.com.

For the game against the Marlies and at all Friday night Hamilton Bulldogs home games, fans can purchase draft beer for only $3.00 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum . Fans must be of legal drinking age and are asked to drink responsibly.

Andreas Engqvist and Phillip DeSimone scored for the 'Dogs while Robert Mayer made 28 saves. Carter Ashton made his debut as a Marlie and recorded a goal and an assist.

The Hamilton Bulldogs earned a point in a 2-1 shootout loss against the Lake Erie Monsters at Copps Coliseum on Friday, March 2nd, 2012 for Royal Botanical Gardens night. Andreas Engqvist recorded his 18th goal of the season and Nathan Lawson stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced. Lake Erie's Ryan Stoa was the only player to score in the shootout.

The Hamilton Bulldogs blanked the Grand Rapids Griffins 1-0 on Puck & Paws Night on Sunday, March 4th, 2012. Eric Lampe scored his second of the season while Nathan Lawson earned his fifth shutout of the 2011-2012 campaign, making 25 saves. Ty Conklin was nearly perfect with 33 saves for the Griffins.

- Montreal LW Max Pacioretty scored a goal and recorded an assist vs. the Wild (Mar. 1), and picked up a helper against the Leafs (Mar. 3)

- Montreal D P.K. Subban recorded a goal and an assist vs. the Wild (Mar. 1)

- Nashville RW Andrei Kostitsyn scored a goal and picked up an assist vs. the Florida Panthers (Mar. 3)

- Toronto C Mikhail Grabovski earned an assist vs. the Panthers (Feb. 28), recorded an assist against the Blackhawks (Feb. 29), padded his goal totals with 2 and picked up an assist vs. the Montreal Canadiens (Mar. 3)
