Key Details of Mexican U-20's Socal Visit Announced

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Blues are pleased to announce key details of the Mexican U-20 national team's upcoming visit to Southern California . The squad will arrive via plane on Thursday, February 23, and hold its first training session at Fullerton College before participating in an informal welcome ceremony around the corner at the Matador Cantina restaurant and lounge.

El Tri will be on Alaska Airlines flight AS241 from Mexico City, which is scheduled to land at Los Angeles International Airport at 8.55 a.m. PT on Thursday. At 7 p.m. PT, select Blues and Mexican players, Blues front office staff as well as members of the Mexican delegation and coaching staff will be participating in the welcome ceremony at the Matador Cantina in Historic Downtown Fullerton. Light snacks and beverages will be served throughout the event, and members of the media will be given opportunities for one-on-one interviews.

The Mexican side will hold its first training session in the U.S. at 4 p.m. PT that same day on the Blues' training field at Fullerton College, in preparation for Saturday's 7 p.m. meeting with the USL PRO club at Cal State Fullerton's Titan Stadium. The day of the match will see youth soccer games taking place from 4 p.m. PT as well as at halftime of the main event. The Blues are also working to set up a postgame autograph session involving players from both teams.

The Mexican U-20s will stay in Southern California following their meeting with the Blues to take on UCLA at Birmingham Charter High School in Van Nuys on February 28 at 7 p.m. PT.
