Outlaws Clinch FHL Regular Season Championship

WAYNE, NJ - The New Jersey Outlaws inaugural campaign continues to get better as the Outlaws have clinched the FHL regular season championship with a 4-2 victory over the 1000 Islands Privateers. The Outlaws record improves to 34-3-0-7 with 111 points. The Outlaws 37 total victories, 34 regulation victories, and 111 points are all FHL records.The roster boasts the highest scoring defenseman in the league, Jeff Winchester, who was acquired last week from the Privateers. In addition, the Outlaws have four of the top ten scorers in the league (Winchester, Travis Kauffeldt, Kevin Cooper, and Matt Puntureri). The offensive threats the Outlaws bring to the table are accompanied by the best goalie tandem in the league. Dan McWhinney has a 21-3 record with one shutout, a 2.53 GAA, and a .922 save percentage. "Backup" goaltender Adam Dekker has had a fine season himself with a 17-4 record, a 2.62 GAA, and a .924 save percentage along with 4 shutouts.
The Outlaws begin their playoff run at the Capital One Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey on Friday, March 9th and Saturday, March 10th, both at 7:35pm, as they host games one and two of the first round of the FHL Commissioner Cup Playoffs. If necessary, game five will take place on Saturday, March 17th, once again at 7:35pm.
