Bighorns Acquire David Palmer, Waive Damon Jones

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired David Palmer from the available player pool. To make room on the roster for the acquisition, the team has waived Damon Jones.

Palmer (6-9, 250lbs.) played 25 games with the Bakersfield Jam this season, averaging 8.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game. Before coming to the NBA D-League, Palmer played professionally in Poland where he averaged 7.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 21 games. While playing his senior season of college at Northern Kentucky, he averaged 17.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 30 games.

Jones has averaged 1.6 points and 0.7 assists in seven games with the Bighorns this season.

Palmer will be with the team when they tip off against the Idaho Stampede on Friday, Feb. 17 in Boise. Bighorns fans can see him in action when the team returns to Reno to take on the Stampede on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the Reno Events Center.
